Traditional Food Passed Down from Generation to Generation to You.

Get ready to take your tastebuds on a trip around the world at our pop-up café in Kemis Pontcanna every Tuesday and Wednesday from the 23rd of March!

For the past three years, Oasis Cardiff has been supporting refugees and asylum seekers through its culinary project, The Plate. The main aim of the project is to guide clients through a journey via food so that they can uncover their culinary skills and gain the real-world experience needed to move forward and work within the hospitality and catering sector.

Over the years, we’ve built a melting pot of cultural food heritages from across the globe and have been fortunate enough to share that with our community through regular events (when we were allowed), and our weekly takeaway, Home Supper Club which we started in lockdown 1.0.

Now it’s time for you to experience traditional dishes that have been passed down from generation to generation, to you… right here in Cardiff in our Oasis At Kemi’s pop-up café.

And here's a little bit about our collaborative team

Dani: "I found people like my food and makes them happy and for making people happy don't need to be Priminister you can be a chefAlso, people love when I'm playing piano for them."

Hafiz: "I can't wait to cook at Kemis!"

Matt: "I've always had a passion for food; my earliest memories are in the kitchen with my Mum creating simple sweet treats like jam tarts, shortbread, and pineapple upside-down cake. It's those memories, and the joy I know food can bring to people, that continues to excite me when I get to share my passion for food with those that I work with and cook for."

Kemi: "Food, Fashion, Fun! Inspired to feed people for the last 20 years. Enjoy having the world on my plate to eat & share
