The catering team at Oasis aim to showcase the vibrant and varied cuisine of our service users. Through our culinary initiative, Global Eats by Oasis, we bring flavours to life through a range of formats, from our street food pop-ups to intimate Supper Clubs. We aim to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of our community in an authentic and accessible way. Collaborating closely with our clients, Alis, our Catering Manager, passionately endeavours to infuse their rich cultural heritage into his menus and share them with the wider public, fostering a cultural exchange through the universal language of food.

We always have a diversity of people at our events so it’s great to have a menu of food from around the world and thoughtful options for dietary requirements. Delicious salads, samosas, pupusas, tortillas, falafels, bhajis are all fresh, colourful, and exciting. The presentation and packaging are appealing and easy to use. Everything is arranged neatly and kept safe through transit. The food always arrives on time as agreed and communications with the Global Eats team are easy and friendly.

A regular at music and food festivals alike, the Oasis catering team can be found serving up an authentic Latin and Middle Eastern inspired food menu, showcasing the food Alis knows and loves from his home country, Honduras. Whether it's baleada or falafel come and get your street food fix at the Global Eats trailer!

The trailer can be seen close to home for our weekly Street Food lunch service (Wednesday to Friday from 12-14:30) or further afield at music festivals such as Green Man. You can read more about our work here and here. 

 
 

It’s our aim to create a network of relationships with members of the Cardiff food community through a series of pop-ups and kitchen takeovers and provide opportunities for our clients to work with other catering establishments. Similar to our supper clubs, our takeovers allow us to bring our food and client's stories to the wider community. So far we have worked with the likes of the Wales Millennium Centre, the Temple of Peace, the Secret Garden Cafe and Kemi’s in Pontcanna to spread our love of food. As the nature of these events are ad-hoc, the best place to find updates on our calendar is through our social media pages or by signing up to our newsletter. Global Eats was birthed from a five year project, funded by The National Lottery, called the Plate. The project empowers and equips people seeking sanctuary with catering opportunities, to expand their skillset and widen their employment prospects. Through Global Eats we have been able to offer a number of employment opportunities to people who have their refugee status, helping them to integrate and build a life in Wales.

The Oasis catering team is ever-expanding, learning and improving. Some of our most trusted, experienced team members started off through volunteering at our smaller events. We always aim to provide the best experience, not only for our customers but for our team members.
