Services & Hire Asylum Process Training Do you know the difference between an asylum seeker and a refugee? A key objective of Oasis is to advance the education of the general public about issues relating to asylum seekers and refugees. To address this we offer comprehensive half day training to a range of groups, equipping them with insights into the asylum process and its implications for people seeking sanctuary. Our informative training encompasses a range of topics: the motivations behind seeking asylum, housing considerations, financial support mechanisms, statistical insights and pertinent research findings, shedding light on various areas of need. Delivered by a professional with a decade of expertise in the field, you are guaranteed to leave the training with an enriched understanding of the asylum process. All the fees from the training will contribute to our ongoing work with people seeking sanctuary. Helpful information How much is the training? The training is £30 pp inclusive of VAT. If you would like to attend training as a group of 10+, please get in touch to discuss costs. How long will the training be? Course duration: the training will take place over 2-3 hours. Where is it delivered? The training can be delivered virtually or in the classroom. If you're local to Cardiff, we have space at our centre that can be used. Who is this training for? This training is perfect for people who interact with asylum seekers and refugees as part of their work and want a better understanding of the asylum process. How many people can book per session? We can welcome a minimum of five, maximum fifteen participants onto this training.
