The theme for this year's Refugee Week is Compassion. In a world that is increasingly hostile, Oasis endeavors to provide a space of warmth and kindness for asylum seekers and refugees across South Wales. Through our range of holistic and practical support, we look to restore dignity to those that come through our doors, empowering them to build new skills and access opportunities so asylum seekers and refugees can flourish in Wales!

Stand in solidarity with asylum seekers and refugees and join us for one of our events during Refugee Week.

Tuesday 20th June - Hostile Screening

18:30 - 22:00 | Oasis Cardiff, 69b Splott Road, CF24 2BW

Hostile is an award-winning feature-length documentary written, produced and directed by BAFTA-longlisted filmmaker Sonita Gale.

Told through the stories of four participants from Black and Asian backgrounds, Hostile reveals the human stories behind the government’s “hostile environment” policies, which are designed to make living conditions so difficult for migrants that they voluntarily leave the country.

Our Global Eats food trailer will be open from 18:30 to sell some delicious food and drink for you to enjoy during the screening!
