'HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER)' VINYL FUNDRAISER

Spillers Records kindly gifted us an extremely rare and collectable strictly Limited Edition vinyl acetate of John Lennon & Yoko Ono’s iconic single ‘Happy Xmas (War is Over)’ (with The Plastic Ono Band and The Harlem Community Choir).  

Yoko and Sean gifted fifty of these specially produced artefacts to allow each organisation to sell or auction the rare, highly collectable items to raise funding. The other half of these vinyl acetates were distributed to select record shops across the UK, including Spillers Records, Cardiff who donated their copy to help raise funds for Oasis Cardiff, in support of our aim to provide a warm Welsh welcome for Refugees and Asylum Seekers.

The sale of the record raised £1637, which went towards our regular arts activities for our refugee and asylum seeking clients. This includes weekly cultural trips, regular exhibition visits, and visiting artist workshops, as well as nature play sessions for children and families.
